Matthew Perry Doubts ‘Friends Reunion’: “It Would Be Terrible”

Jennifer Aniston may have recently hinted that she wants a ‘Friends’ reunion but her former co-star Matthew Perry isn’t so keen on the idea.

Earlier this month Jen said she missed the cast of the hit 90s sitcom after she filmed a sketch for the ‘Ellen’ show with Perry and Courtney Cox, saying she felt “nostalgic” at being on camera with her co-stars again.

After her comments, it didn’t take for rumors to start that the old gang would get back together for more episodes of the show in the future – but Perry thinks it “would be terrible” to bring it back again.

When asked if he’d get involved in a ‘Friends’ reunion, the actor – who played the role of Chandler Big for ten seasons, said: “I don’t think so.”

Explaining why he’s not into the idea, Matthew said: “It would be terrible to do something and have it not be good.

“It was so terrific. If we did a movie and it sucked, then it would, you know, blemish it.”

Matthew, who has been vocal about his past battle with alcoholism during his height of fame, also admitted he hates seeing old photos of himself from the 1990s to the early 2000s.

“I honestly recoil,” Perry explained. “It’s scary to look at that. I was a sick guy.”

The 43-year-old was also asked if he’ll be attending the wedding of Jennifer and her husband-to-be Justin Theroux. “I would assume I’ll be there,” he told ABC News.
