In what seems to be a regular occurrence these days, Demi Lovato’s rep has been forced to deny the star is back in rehab.
Rumors that the Skyscraper star had returned to a treatment center started when Demi told her followers on Twitter that she was planning to take a short break, as she was going on a “cleansing retreat”.
Some fans have speculated that Lovato was seeking help for her problems again, especially as she wasn’t at the Grammy Awards last weekend.
But it turns out the whole thing is a misunderstanding – the 19-year-old was never even scheduled to appear at the ceremony and she’s not back in rehab.
At the time, Demi told her fans: “Away on a mind and body cleansing retreat!! This is exciting.. Won’t be tweeting much this week but I love you my sweet lovatics!”
Now her rep has set the record straight, by confirming Lovato isn’t getting help, telling MTV: “Demi had a week off between work commitments and made the personal decision to spend the week with the professional support team she assembled to help her with her ongoing physical and emotional issues.
“Demi’s recovery is an ongoing battle. She understands that there will be ups and downs, but is fully committed to working with her team every single day towards a healthy future.”
