Just days after Simon Cowell admitted he wants Cheryl Cole back on the UK version of The X Factor when it returns later this year, the singer’s BFF Will.i.am says she actually needs her own TV show instead!
The Black Eyed Peas star is a close friend of the brunette beauty after working with her on her solo records, not to mention he also manages Chezza in the US.
Praising the Geordie star today, the producer-rapper said Cheryl doesn’t need to rejoin The X Factor again as she’s too big now.
Responding to Cowell’s earlier comments, Will.i.am said: “Why does she need it? Why are you going to make someone-else rich? Cheryl needs her own show.”
He added: “Cheryl’s the best. I was just hanging out with her on Tuesday, listening to her new stuff and getting her feedback on things and she has some really great tunes.
“The Cheryl that we know now is different from the one we’re going to know 10 years from now. Madonna is Madonna. You don’t want Cheryl to be Madonna, you want Cheryl to be Cheryl.”
