A recent sighting of Avril Lavigne with ex-boyfriend Brody Jenner doesn’t mean they’re back together – they’re just trying to “figure out how to separate”.
It’s often not easy to move on from a long-term relationship, as seeing the pair together on Monday proves, but due to their amicable split last month – they obviously still feel the need to be around one another, even if it’s just as friends.
“They are not back together,” a source close to the couple explained to Us Weekly. “[They're] trying to figure out how to separate.”
Speaking of their split, another insider says it had a lot to do with Brody – son of Bruce Jenner – feeling like a third wheel when it came to Avril and her career.
“It was mutual, but Brody really broke up with her,” the insider revealed. “He told her he was tired of always being her plus-one, and always going on tour with her.
“They still love each other and could get back together, but for now, he needed a break.”
