Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have turned down an offer of $3 million for baby North’s first photo spread in a magazine.
The huge offer was reportedly made by an Australian publication who wanted to be the first to reveal pictures of the two-week old baby to the world. But for Kim and Kanye, the deal was a no-go.
However, rather than holding out for more money, insiders claim that the reason Kimye turned down the $3 million deal isn’t because it wasn’t enough – it’s because they aren’t interested in making any money from North at all.
“Kanye’s been adamant about not having the baby on (‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’),” a source told Us Weekly. “He was serious when he said North isn’t America’s baby, so he may not do anything.”
Shortly after Kim gave birth (June 15), friends of Kanye insisted that the rapper wouldn’t make any money from North, and claimed that when he and Kim finally did reveal her to the world, it wouldn’t be for a profit.
”I know Kanye’s not about to make money off that girl. Trust, that’s not going to happen,” a source told Hollywood Life. “Kanye isn’t no pimp and he damn sure isn’t about to pimp out his own daughter. That’s not in his character.
“Whenever he does decide to bring his girl out in public, it won’t be for money. It’s going to be on his terms and in an appropriate place.”
Meanwhile, Kim too has been staying out of the public eye since becoming a mom, even remaining quiet on Twitter since the birth – except to say happy birthday to sister Khloe last month.
And sources say it’s all thanks to daughter North. “Motherhood has changed her,” an insider added.
