Real Life ‘Bling Ring’ Leader Apologizes To Celebrity Victims

The Bling Ring

Emma Watson stars as part of the Hollywood ‘Bling Ring’ in her new movie of the same name, but now a real member of the gang has spoken out to apologize to celebrities for robbing their homes.

Nick Prugo, who’s believed to have been the ringleader of the group, was sentenced for one year in jail for his part in the burglaries – which saw him and his friends steal around $3 million worth of goods from star’s homes in 2008 and 2009.

Victims including Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, Megan Fox and Rachel Bilson were targeted by the teen criminals, and Prugo admits he now regrets the fear and pain he caused them during his crime spree.

“I’m truly sorry,” he confessed to Star magazine. “I was a teenager at the time and have come a long way.”

Nick, who suffered from substance abuse at the time, admits to robbing Rachel Bilson five times during the 10-month period and particularly regrets stealing jewelery that was given to her by her grandmother.

“It was so personal, not like an article of clothing. She couldn’t replace it. I definitely apologize for the fear I caused her and the loss of a family heirloom,” he explained.

The ex-con also revealed that he almost lost Megan Fox’s puppy during her burglary and spent hours trying to find it.

“We let their new puppy out by mistake. I knew there were coyotes (in the area), so I spent the next two hours searching the neighborhood and put him back,” he confessed.

“Then, of course, we did steal from them, and I am very sorry for that.”

Paris Hilton, who makes a cameo in ‘The Bling Ring’ and allowed her house to be used in the movie, recently admitted she almost cried when she watched the film.
