Miley Cyrus: Alcohol Is Way More Dangerous Than Marijuana

Miley Cyrus is bound to cause controversy with her latest comments about marijuana – but the 20-year-old pop star doesn’t care.

The ‘We Can’t Stop’ singer has opened up about smoking weed and her thoughts on the drug in a new interview, and admits that she doesn’t think marijuana is half as bad for people as drinking alcohol is.

Asked flat-out if she smokes pot, a laughing Miley replied: “You can’t ask someone that and expect them to say yes!

“I did a song with Snoop Dogg called ‘Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,’ so people can put it together for themselves,” she added carefully.

“I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana,” Miley told Rolling Stone magazine. “People can be mad at me for saying that, but I don’t care.

“I’ve seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I’ve never seen that happen with weed.”

Last year, Miley joked that she smoked “way too much f**king weed,” and now she admits she’s glad to live in a state where says the drug is legal.

“As long as it isn’t illegal, there are far more dangerous things (than weed)” she continued. “And it’s legal in the state of California. So I’m happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Miley wasn’t quite so open about her rocky relationship with Liam Hemsworth – although she did confirm that they were still engaged.

“I wear a ring every single day. I don’t talk about my personal life, so that’s enough of an answer,” she told the magazine.
