It’s great news for fans of Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, as today Sony has announced that a sequel to 21 Jump Street has been commissioned.
The original comedy movie was released last year and became a box office hit earning $200 million worldwide, so now a script is being worked on for the follow-up.
Jonah and Channing are both expected to reprise their roles of undercover cops Schmidt and Jenko, while Hill is working on the script with co-writer Michael Bacall.
21 Jump Street 2 is scheduled for release in 2014.
Prior to this, Hill will next be seen starring in This Is the End this summer, as well as the forthcoming The Wolf of Wall Street.
Tatum is currently in the UK working alongside Mila Kunis on sci-fi movie Jupiter Ascending, and recently completed filming Foxcatcher and White House Down.
