Justin Timberlake Rules Out Being A TV Talent Show Judge

Although hit TV shows like American Idol and X Factor hire singers to be on the panel, Justin Timberlake says fans will never see him becoming a judge.

The Suit & Tie singer’s ex-girlfriend Britney Spears recently announced her departure from The X Factor so she can focus on recording her next album, meaning Simon Cowell now has to fill a space before season 3 starts filming later this year.

When asked if he’d consider taking over as a replacement for Spears, Justin said he couldn’t accept the role as he couldn’t be mean to contestants by telling them they’re no good.

“I could never do that,” admits The Social Network actor. “I’d feel too bad, you know, to tell someone no.

“And it’s obvious when someone’s not good,” Timberlake added during an interview on British radio station Capital FM this week. “But I just don’t have the heart (to do it).”

Last week saw the Mirrors singer announce his joint tour with Jay-Z this summer.

Justin will also be releasing his third album The 20/20 Experience on March 19, which he recently described as “the best stuff I’ve ever done.”
