Jennifer Lopez turns executive producer on her latest project; new TV drama The Fosters.
The show was first mentioned last year and the series has now been snapped up by the ABC Family network, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
Despite being attacked by a conservative group in 2012, the drama is still going ahead as planned.
The story sees two moms raising a multi-ethnic family of both foster and biological kids.
The cast includes Teri Polo (Meet the Parents), Sherri Saum, Jake T. Austin, Hayden Byerly, David Lambert, Maia Mitchell, Danny Nucci and Cierra Ramirez.
Lopez will executive produce alongside its creators Bradley Bredeweg and Peter Paige, with production due to being in spring.
The Fosters is expected to premiere in summer.
Meanwhile, Jen has been working on her new album with producer RedOne.
