Plans for a new Spice Girls ‘final fling’ tour are out of the window now that band members Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell have had a bust-up.
After the success of their performance at the Olympics Closing Ceremony last year and the huge interest in their Viva Forever! musical, Halliwell had hoped to get the girls back together for new concerts.
She also planned for the group to release a brand new album and has even contacted their former manager Simon Fuller to get the ball rolling.
But it seems Miss Beckham has other ideas and isn’t keen on reforming the Spice Girls – which hasn’t gone down well with Geri!
Now a reunion looks unlikely and the two stars are no longer talking to each other.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Geri wants the girls to be back on the road as soon as they can. She’s been trying to get in touch with Simon for the past few weeks but isn’t getting anywhere.
“She and Victoria are no longer talking.”
The insider says it’s not just Beckham who is against the tour, as Fuller isn’t keen on a reunion if all five girls aren’t on board.
“A tour without Victoria is a real risk. She may not do a load of the singing but she brings a lot more than people think to the table.
“On their (last) reunion tour she brought Madonna’s choreographer Jamie King on board and organised a lot of the outfits with Dolce and Gabbana.
“Simon regards the project as a real risk without VB and without him to mastermind the whole thing it’s a tricky situation and probably won’t happen.”
