Robbie Williams has admitted to being a fan of One Direction before and now he’s tipped them to be as big as the Spice Girls were in the 90s.
The Take That star is impressed with the way the Little Things singers have suddenly become one of the biggest bands on the planet.
And it reminds him of how successful Geri, Victoria and Co. were back in their heyday when Girl Power ruled.
Talking with The Sun this weekend, Robbie said 1D are “quite a power in the way the Spice Girls were.”
He added to the paper: “The Spice Girls took over the world and won, and I think the One Direction boys have a similar chemistry.”
No stranger to female attention himself, Robbie thinks it’s Harry Styles who is the true ladies’ man of the group, saying the curly-haired cutie is a “a magnet like I’ve never seen before.
“I don’t think Harry needs any tips from me,” he joked.
“[Harry is} beguiling, and so are One Direction. I wasn’t him when I was 18. That didn’t happen to me.”
Do you think One Direction could be as big as the Spice Girls?
