The Hunger Games dominated this year’s People’s Choice Awards.
The hit sci-fi movie won a total of five awards at the LA ceremony last night (January 9), while leading Jennifer Lawrence was also honored with the Favorite Movie Actress prize.
The cast of the film – Jennifer and co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson – were on hand to collect their gongs in person, which included awards for Favorite Movie, Favorite Action Movie and Favorite Movie Franchise.
The trio also scored the Favourite Onscreen Chemistry prize, while Jen took home Favourite Face of Heroism for her role as feisty Katniss Everdeen.
“From the beginning, a year ago, when all this started taking off, the fans were incredible… this is 100% for you,” said Josh Hutcherson as he collected a trophy.
Earlier in the evening, Lawrence thanked director Gary Ross in her speech, saying: “I’m sweating so much I’m gonna drop it (the award)! Wow! Thank you so much, thank you, the fans…
“I wish this was like Mean Girls and I could just break this up and throw it all over you, because you are all responsible.
“Thank you for loving movies as much as I do, and for accepting the movie and voting.”
