There’s a bit of tension between the two British boy bands right now, but The Wanted are hoping to settle their feud with One Direction.
The rivalry between the groups got a little heated recently, when 1D’s Zayn Malik and The Wanted’s Max George had an argument on Twitter.
But now Max’s band mate Jay McGuiness wants them to put their differences to one side.
“It seemed to start as a joke,” McGuiness told MTV News, “Then the tone got a little bit nasty, so I just like to see how they feel about it, because I didn’t like what I read.”
“I think it’s probably best that we peace a little at Christmas,” Jay added, “peace and love at Christmas!”
The Wanted and One Direction both performed at New York’s Madison Square Garden at the weekend for the Jingle Ball, but luckily didn’t come to blows.
Other stars who sang at the annual event included Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Ne-Yo.
The Wanted are currently in talks to film their own reality TV show.
